Our Masters team are now in the latter part of their season so just to give an update on their performances in their last few games. They were away to 2nd placed Roscommon in their penultimate league game on Saturday 16th July but were beaten 6-2 by a stronger team. Scorers for Colemanstown: Cyril Donnellan & gaffer Barry Forde.
The lads were home to Moore on Saturday 23rd July in their last league game. This was an extremely hard fought game & the lads were pipped 3-2. Ronan Geraghty & Barry Forde found the range in a tough & tight encounter in which Moore had to win to claim the league title. The Colemanstown lads made them work hard and it took a bit of individual brilliance by the Moore striker to score the winner.
The first Cup game saw the lads travel to Roscommon on Saturday 6th August. Once again, another tough day at the office as the hosts ran out 3-0 winners. This result sees the Masters reach the Shield Final which is scheduled for Saturday evening 20th August in RDFL Headquarters in Lecarrow against Castlerea Celtic at 6pm KO.
