U16’s prepare to enter history books

It might not be a Man Utd vs Real Madrid affair where “the whole world will stop to watch it” but as our U16’s prepare for battle with Lough Harps in the Connaught Shield semi final on Sat March 16th, this game is equally as important. A win will put them into our history books as never before has a team within the club strived to such latter stages of a Connaught competition. It is a step into the unknown for these lads as little is known about Roscommon side Lough Harps but we do know that Sir Bobby Masterson will have these youngsters well briefed, programmed, shaped and full of self belief with plenty of match tactics up his sleeve. We urge as many as possible to come along to Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon to support these youngsters on Sat March 16th, KO 2pm. It should be well worth the trip given the success this team has had in securing trophies in various age groups in the past few years. Also this Sunday, our junior team play Ballinasloe Town in the last 16 of the Connaught Cup. Ballinasloe have been unbeaten to date this season so it’s a big game for our lads but I’m sure they’ll be well psyched up for this one. Support also appreciated. Ballinasloe 2pm KO.
