U12 Boys gracefully bow out of Connacht Shield

The boys in green travelled to Craughwell on Saturday morning to play the quarter final of the Connacht Shield. The game started with great pace from both sides and the teams seemed very evenly matched. If there was to be a MOTM it would go to Owen Hillary on the right wing. He travelled up and down the pitch and put in some fantastic tackles and never gave up at any stage. Our boys were very unlucky not to have scored in the first half with some great shots on goal from Finian Walsh, Daithi Burns and Scott O Donohue. About 15 minutes into the second half a free shot from Craughwell seen the ball drop over Adam Kenny’s head and into the back of the Colemanstown net. The boys in green kept fighting strong until the final whistle blew. Final score Craughwell 1-0 Colemanstown FC as we wish Craughwell U12’s and their management the best of luck in the semi-final of the Connacht Shield. Match report by Ita Kenny.
