Week end wrap up

Wet & cold and unplayable pitches were the order of our weekend action as our 2 games down for decision fell victim to unplayable pitches. Our reserve game vs Salthill was cancelled late on Saturday while our A team game vs Tuam Celtic also fell by the wayside early this morning. Will this rain ever end….. Will this season’s games ever get to finish?…. However, we have to be positive.

On a fundraising front, we’re very busy and there’s a massive push on at present. These last few weeks have hammered home an important message: Our second playing pitch is urgently required. In this regard and given the success of the first event, we are running our 2nd Last Man Standing fundraiser for the year. All tickets have now been distributed via all junior players and underage players and we urge all sellers to make a big effort in selling & buyers to have their tickets returned by next weekend. Thanks, once again, to the hard working and dedicated David Gilligan & Jayo Finn for spearheading this fundraiser. We also have our 50/50 draw and yearly tickets remain available at €24 for anyone who wishes to be included in this draw where a winner is guaranteed every month. Thanks to Adrian Burke & his hard working team of followers who are doing great work in driving this. We also have our forthcoming 10K just around the corner; for all running enthusiasts, pencil Holy Saturday March 26th in your diary. So that’s a lot going on in the environs of Colemanstown. And then the Trocaire box was also out today……
