U12’s win league with a game in hand

For the 2nd successive season our under 12’s have won the Under 12 first division and still have a game in hand.  It is certainly a tribute to the team and in a tangerine dream world, it is a job well done for Sir Bobby Masterson and his charges who have been unbeaten in league action all season and so too last year!.  It is fitting that they will collect their silverware on Wednesday night following their final league game against Knocknacarra scheduled for Cappagh Park at 7pm.

Our under 13’s had a 1-1 draw with Cois Farraige in rain drenched Colemanstown on Saturday.  It was a day only the ducks enjoyed as these youngsters braved the elements in an entertaining game.  Colemanstown scored first through a Daniel Masterson volley on 10 mins following great work from Lee Murphy & Kieran Dowd.  The Carraroe side levellled on the stroke of half time however, direct from a corner kick aided by a stiff breeze.  In the 2nd half both keepers were in exceptional form with Sean Murray making a string of super saves and was equally matched by the Carraroe keeper who was also on top of his game.
