Training session with Galway United stars

Two players from Galway Utd, captain Ryan Connolly and Alex Byrne made themselves available in Colemanstown for a 3 hour long session alongside our own underage mentors in delivering key coaching methods to our future soccer players this morning ie. ‘ you can’t beat a good ould match’. We hope that the session will help to strengthen the foundations which will see our players and coaches develop and grow from strength to strength in years to come. At various stages our little stars got the better of the 2 Galway Utd stars as Ryan Connolly was left upended at one stage. The skills learned today and the compliments given to our youngsters by the United stars help transcend soccer into life and creating the confidence for our kids to thrive. We hope that today will have attracted new players and families with a desire for unbounded achievement, who understand the rewards of team work and effort through a positive attitude by our team mentors and understand the efforts our coaches put in as well as a committee who are striving to provide improved facilities for our players and future players which is obvious since the diggers moved in 2 weeks ago. All in all it was an enjoyable morning for the youngsters and thanks to the hospitality team, Bridie Gilligan, Grainne Lally and Martina Donnellan who provided the welcome food and kept copious amounts of teas dished out for parents and players alike.
