The new season is fast approaching as players from all squads are due to commence training this week. Our ‘A’ team participated in the Keith Keane tournament hosted recently by St. Bernards but were knocked out at the quarter final stage when they were beaten on penalties by Dynamo Blues. They play Athenry in a pre-season friendly on Thursday in Moonbaun at 7.30pm. Our ‘B’ team commence training this Friday in Colemanstown at 7.30pm while our under 17/18 youth team train on Thursday at 8.00-9.30pm under the guidance of Cian O’Toole & Bobby Masterson who has an innate ability to manage training sessions from his hospital bed. We wish him a pain free and speedy recovery. Our under 13’s commence training on Saturday morning at 11am under the guidance of David Gilligan.
