The Christmas star of Cloonkeenkerrill has been erected by 2 wise men John Joe ward & PJ Finnerty who have now made this an annual ritual. A new star has been erected this year in a new location on the abbey wall shining brightly on all our family members who have gone before us. For centuries scholars have speculated on the nature of the star that led the wise men to seek the baby Jesus in Bethlehem. Well, now this bright star in Cloonkeenkerrill cemetry leads us to our own family members who have passed away as it casts a peaceful light over all who rest there.
