Our u13’s went goal crazy at home on Saturday morning as they demolished a hapless Barna/Furbo B side 8-0 and now find themselves in 3rd place in the league table. The rout began early on as Kellie Brennan took a shot at goal but the ball rebounded to Shane Burke who slotted it away neatly. Thady Moran’s shot from outside the box accounted for our second. Centre back Josh Brennan took a shot which fell nicely for Kellie Brennan who scored from a couple of yards albeit Mika Harun also staked a claim on that goal to leave the score 3-0 at half time. The hosts filled their boots in the second half to equal their biggest ever victory, having already clocked an 8 goal feast earlier in the season. A free kick by Thady Moran in the 2nd half fell well for Mika Harun who put his name on the score sheet. Shane Burke who was superb throughout – made it five before Kellie Brennan added another moments later. Shane Burke claimed his first ever competitive hat trick with another fine strike before Arron Molloy completed the rout with an eight to finish the humiliation for the visitors and fire Colemanstown up the table. Grainne Lally once more provided a welcome and friendly cuppa for players and supporters alike, thanks again for that Grainne. Meanwhile our u13’s are having a fundraising draw in Burkes, Colemanstown this Friday night preceded by a kiddies fancy dress party from 8-9pm. All kids are welcome to attend.
