Saturday’s football action summary

First out bright and early yesterday morning were our Under 13’s who bossed territory and possession in their 6-2 away win over Tuam Celtic to notch their 2nd win in a row and so help to shove them up the table. Ryan Noone got on the scoreboard twice, Sean Hansberry, Michael Flattery, Liam Gormally & Conor Moran were all on the mark. They turned on the style as they cantered home easy victors in Tuam.

Next up were our U11’s who travelled to Renmore  in the U11 Developmental league. Two teams graced the field which meant everyone had game time and indeed two great games were on display for this age level with plenty of goals scored and plenty of post goal celebrations too! Well done to the big numbers who turned up and to the coaches for their early morning efforts having overseen the U7’s & U9’s train at 9am before departing for Renmore.

Our Reserves suffered their first defeat of the season away to West Utd. It was a tough day out even though some of the top guns were rested as they were outplayed in almost all positions as West strolled to an emphatic 5-1 win. Colemanstown lacked their usual cutting edge and in the end were probably glad to hear the final whistle. Gerry Grady got our sole goal his 8th of the season. These lads will hopefully stir themselves up and get themselves back on track again for their away game against Maree/Oranmore next weekend.

Our B team just came up a bit short in their 2-1 away loss to Cregmore/Claregalway. Niall Skehill was on the mark for Colemanstown.

Meanwhile our U15’s game was postponed as a mark of respect following a bereavement in Kinvara.
