Ruthless Thady & Kellie score 4 a-piece in 11 goal show

This match was in doubt until midway through the 2nd half as our u13’s came from behind on 2 occasions to a thumping 8-3 away win to Moyne Villa and so claim their first points of the season. It was tit for tat in the first half but it was their dazzling display of second half football that outclassed the opposition and won this game. Colemanstown held their own for the first 10mins but then Moyne Villa came to the fore and their dominance resulted in Colemanstown conceding 2 goals by the 25 minute mark. Colemanstown gradually got back into the game and in no small part credit must go to Thady Moran, Arron Molloy, Mika Harun and wingers Luke Mitchell & Shane Burke who were extremely effective in the middle of the field. Thady Moran got 1 back and Kellie Brennan scored her first of the season to leave the score 2-2 at the break. In the second half Moyne Villa scored soon after the resumption but Colemanstown weathered the brief storm yet again as Thady Moran levelled matters again soon afterwards. 5 more whopping goals from Colemanstown followed; 3 from Kellie & 2 from Thady to ensure they scored 4-a-piece in this game as all nerves were well and truly settled. Colemanstown enjoyed almost all the territory and possession in the second half and were duly rewarded with their 5 well taken goals. They play Salthill Devon on Thursday under lights in Drom at 7pm and will be hoping this form continues.

Meanwhile our severely depleted A team sustained all the pressure for 75mins but buckled in the last 15mins to concede 3 goals to Salthill Devon under lights on Friday evening in Drom and so lose their first game this season.
