Rampant U15’s 8 star drubbing

This first post-Christmas performance from our U15’s was worthy of real mention as they hit 8 goals at home this morning and were a class apart from the opposition Cregmore. Thady Moran & Shane Burke both bagged a brace with Ian Geraghty, Keith Forde, Mika Harun, & Shane Loughrey also on target. It was 3-0 at the break as they bagged five more in the 2nd half. Their concentration levels, their pace & their defensive stability at the back from Jason Keane, Josh Brennan, Ethan Lally & Robert Cosgrove was superb. Thady Moran & Shane Burke on the wings inflicted serious damage while Thadys cracking free kick for his 2nd goal was a moment of genius and as good as you’d see anywhere. The practice in the front lawn is paying dividends! Adam Wynne was again a powerhouse in central midfield while Cregmore had no answer to the sheer industry of Mika Harun, Shane Loughrey & Keith Forde. Evan Waldron & Conor Hibbitt also caused plenty of threat while Ian Geraghty scored after his introduction but got injured in the ensuing play and had to retire early through injury. They scored 8 but could have scored more as David Gilligans lads made light work of Cregmore to stay in the top 3.  Next week sees these lads take on neighbours Kiltullagh on Sunday, KO time yet to be agreed while our U13’s are away to Oughterard for 12 noon KO. Parents beware that roads will be closed on Saturday next in the vicinity of Colemanstown due to the Galway International rally so alternative routes may need to be taken to get to Kiltulla & Oughterard.
