Club AGM

Our club Annual General Meeting took place midweek with a great attendance. Thank you to everyone who came along & showed their continued support for the club. The past year has been another hugely successful one for our club, made possible by the incredible dedication of our volunteers, committee members, coaches, players, parents, sponsors & supporters. Their time, effort & commitment continue to drive the club forward both on and off the pitch.

Some of the year’s standout milestones included:

  • Fielding 16 competitive teams across all age groups.
  • Celebrating league success for our Junior Men’s & U12 Girls teams, along with our history-making Over 35 Ladies & Over 35 Mens RDFL league winning sides.
  • Completing the floodlights on our all-weather pitch, thanks to the work of Niall Rohan, while also the continued enhancement of our club facilities.
  • Successfully running our Last Man Standing competition & Duckie Derby, alongside securing valuable grant funding that will help shape the club’s future.
  • Hosting the Dillon Quirke Foundation Cardiac Screening event for our teenage players.
  • Hosting many local school finals at our state-of-the-art Astro pitch.
  • Unveiling a commemorative plaque in honour of our club patrons Frank & Bernie Burke.
  • Successfully hosting the inaugural Marian Flannery Over 35 Ladies Tournament which was a memorable addition to our club calendar.

A heartfelt vote of thanks was extended to outgoing Chairperson Adrian Burke for his outstanding leadership, dedication & countless hours of voluntary service over many years. His commitment has played a pivotal role in the continued growth & success of the club & everyone is extremely grateful for his contribution & all are delighted to hear that Adrian is remaining on the club committee.

The following officers were elected for the coming season:

  • Chairperson: Brian Saunders
  • Secretary: Sandra King
  • Treasurer: Orla McCaffrey
  • Fixtures Secretary: Neil Ryan

As we look ahead to the 2026/27 season, there is great optimism around the club. Following significant growth in our academy numbers over the past year we are excited to continue building both on & off the pitch. New volunteers, coaches & supporters are always welcome as we work together to build on the fantastic progress achieved this past season. Best wishes to all for the season ahead which kicks off in late August.
