All games fall victim to weather

For the 2nd successive week all our games fell victim to the weather and poor pitch conditions as the Galway FA issued a blanket ban on all games in light of the recent volume of rainfall. Hopefully, we should be back to normality next weekend as a big schedule lies ahead as all 5 teams are in action. Our A team play St. Bernards at home on Sunday, KO 11am, B team play Kinvara away on Saturday, KO 2pm, Reserves play Corrib Rangers away on Saturday, KO 2.30pm, U14’s play Kinvara away on Saturday, KO 12.30pm, U12’s play Oughterard at home on Saturday, KO 10.30am.

Our illuminous green envelopes continue to be on sale in all local pubs and shops. Our next monthly draw takes place next Sunday in Mitchell’s, Gurteen. If you have a spare €2 its worth a shot.

Huge congratulations to Andy & Veronica Concannon and their 3 boys Eoin, Kyle & Liam on the birth of little Niamh. An heiress to the throne! She will no doubt be reared a soccer player like the others.

We ask all parents of U6’s – U10’s to stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates on the underage soccer training given that some players have not yet registered and so are not on our database list for text updates.
