‘A’ Team share the spoils

Our A team put in a lethargic performance to draw 1-1 with Crumlin in
their latest league encounter. Joe Finnerty’s clear cut chance was the
only thing to shout about in the 1 st half as his half hit effort was
easily saved. There was little more to cause excitement with the
exception of a Brian Costello strike which hit the woodwork as this game
wandered into an extremely dull affair. Crumlin scored from the penalty
spot 20mins into the 2 nd period but their joy was short lived as Alan
Finn drew a share of the spoils with a low hard strike to the bottom
corner following good work on the left wing. It finished 1-1

Our B Team also lost 2-1 at the hands of Miltown. Miltown went 2 -0 up
but Colemanstown clawed their way back thanks to a well taken penalty
from Damian Concannon after Sean Hardiman was taken down. Kerrill
Dempsey kept Colemanstown in the game with a string of super saves but
only a few half chances came their way in the 2 nd half and they were
unable to find an equaliser.

Under 12’s had a 7-0 drubbing of Athenry A at home on Saturday and got
off to a cracking start with a Matthew Ruane volley from 30 yards, his
first goal for the club. Colemanstown entirely dominated the 2 nd half
and further goals from Kieran Dowd, Ronan O Neill (4), and Jamie Carroll
celebrated his birthday in style with his first ever goal for Colemanstown.
