U12B team – stalemate in Corofin

Marcus Malone reports on the U12B team’s stalemate in Corofin

It was a gritty performance by our U12B team yesterday as they were unfortunate not to win their 1st league game away to Corofin. With much of the possession and chances in the 1st half, our first goal was via a deflection after great build up play from defense to attack. With a great opportunity to go 2-0 up before half time, we unfortunately missed from the penalty spot. Just before half time, Corofin drew level from a corner kick.

In the 2nd half, with the breeze and a hill against us, the game was once again in the balance with some great chances for both teams. Colemanstown went ahead again through a great goal from Aaron Lyndsey -Bane. Hearts were broken with 2 mins to play when Corofin drew level yet again. Considering we were short in numbers yesterday, with no subs available and everybody having to play the entire game it was a fantastic performance from the entire team.
