U13’s suffer 4-2 defeat in Cregmore

Fielding with the bare bones of a team this morning in Cregmore, our u13’s went 1-0 down in the first minute as Cregmore’s towering midfielder ran straight through the middle and scored almost straight from tip off. However, Colemanstown powered back to go 2-1 up on 25mins as Sean Hansberry finished off a great move involving Ryan Noone, Luke Lally & Michael Flattery while Josh McGuire-Greaney scored our 2nd with an exquisite finish from outside the box after Ryan Noone’s initial effort was parried by the keeper. Cregmore made it 2-2 before the break with a great effort again from their towering midfielder. In the 2nd half Cregmore ran amok with a goal 10mins into the 2nd half and hopes of a comeback were firmly extinguished towards the end with a breakaway goal to put the game well past our grasp and in doing so firmly seal all 3 points.  Ryan Noone missed a hatful of 2nd half chances; Luke Lally was unlucky with a shot just over while Sean Hansberry’s header was also just over.  These lads play their 2nd last game of the season on Wednesday next at home when they take on Barna-Furbo. KO 7.30pm. Please make an effort to support them. Squad: Jason Connolly, Anthony Feeney, Dara Hansberry, Eoin Concannon, Daragh Diskin, Conor Byron, Michael Flattery, Sean Hansberry, Luke Lally, Ryan Noone, Josh McGuire-Greaney, Michael Concannon.
